Head of Strategy, Planning & Change
About the Job:
Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
As Head of Strategy, Planning & Change, you will lead the enterprise-wide integration of strategy, planning and change to ensure delivery of ANI’s corporate priorities.
Operating at the executive interface, you will provide visibility, discipline and alignment across key initiatives, enabling informed decision-making and driving organisational performance. You will also play a pivotal role in uplifting planning, reporting and change leadership capability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead an integrated enterprise planning and performance framework aligned to strategic priorities
- Translate strategy into clearly prioritised initiatives and executable delivery roadmaps
- Partner closely with Executives to align functional and program plans to enterprise objectives
- Deliver high-quality Board and Executive reporting on performance, risk and strategic progress
- Provide enterprise-level visibility across initiatives to manage interdependencies, duplication and delivery risk
- Lead a consistent, values-aligned approach to change management across the organisation
- Act as a trusted strategic adviser to senior leaders, strengthening decision-making, planning discipline and delivery outcomes
- Lead and develop a high-performing team aligned to a strong performance culture
About You:
- Proven senior leadership experience within complex, large-scale project, operational or engineering environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner at Executive level in high-stakes delivery contexts
- Experience leading or operating within enterprise PMO, strategy or transformation functions
- Strong commercial acumen, supported by advanced analytical and reporting capability
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at Board and Executive level
