About the Job:

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI is delivering a multi‑year, multi‑billion-dollar infrastructure program of national significance. The organisation is entering a period of significant workforce growth, organisational change and increasing delivery complexity, and we’re seeking a highly capable People & Culture Business Partner to support this next phase.

As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will work closely with the Program Director and leadership team to ensure people strategies, decisions and interventions directly enable program delivery. It is a critical, trusted advisor role requiring strong judgement, senior stakeholder capability, and the confidence to operate in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior people partnering

  • Act as the primary P&C partner to the Program Director and leadership team
  • Embed People & Culture initiatives in ways that align with delivery pressures and timeframes

 

Change, integration & complexity

  • Play a key role in managing people impacts associated with capability partner integration
  • Support leaders through organisational change, ambiguity and workforce growth and advise on organisational design and role clarity

 

Workforce planning, resourcing & onboarding

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and program leadership on workforce planning across ramp‑up, peak and transition phases
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure new starters are set up for success within ANI

 

Performance, leadership & capability uplift

  • Coach leaders on performance management, development and employee engagement
  • Spend meaningful time uplifting leader capability across the division

 

Employee relations & investigations

  • Confidently manage complex employee relations matters and investigations

 

Governance, compliance & ways of working

  • Support workforce reporting and people-related governance requirements

 

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in HR / People & Culture with strong generalist and business partnering experience
  • Experience within infrastructure, large scale project delivery, construction or similar environments
  • Proven capability partnering with senior leaders in complex, fast‑moving settings
  • Experience supporting organisations through integration, merger or large‑scale change (highly desirable)
  • Organisational design experience (advantageous)

Eligibility:
