About the Job:

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia’s naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.

ANI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Assistant to support the Development Director in Adelaide. In this role, you will provide proactive, high-level administrative assistance, helping manage competing priorities, coordinate communications and logistics, and facilitate effective engagement with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the Development Director.
  • Provide comprehensive support, including coordination of travel, accommodation, transport, and related logistics.
  • Deliver high-level administrative and office support to the Development Director.
  • Coordinate team communications and organise internal and off-site events.
  • Manage the Development Directors schedule including calendars, meetings, correspondence, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Process payments and manage expense reimbursements on behalf of the Development Director.
  • Draft, review, and distribute correspondence and communications on behalf of the Development Director.
  • Organise and prepare for meetings, including collating documentation and coordinating logistics.
  • Respond to enquiries, manage incoming communications, and ensure timely dissemination of information to the Development Director.
  • Prioritise emails, meeting requests, and competing commitments, responding on behalf of the Development Director where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in line with organisational requirements.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Contribute to the promotion and maintenance of ANI values and a positive organisational culture.

About You:

You will be highly organised, proactive and professional, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, able to handle confidential information with discretion, and comfortable providing responsive support to a senior leader.

You will also have:

  • Australian citizenship and otherwise eligible to obtain any required security clearances required for a Defence related facility.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Sound communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Computer literate, with extensive experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Visio to an advanced standard. Experience with MS Project desirable.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with, and supervise, others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organisation skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and to multitask.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.

Eligibility:
