Project Manager – Equipment

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager – Equipment to join its Specialised Equipment Team in Adelaide.  In this role you will work closely with the Equipment Technical Team, Equipment Procurement Team and Equipment Installation/Commissioning Team, to gather required data and integrate into the wider NPSCY Program.  You will also manage and track the progress of the Specialised Equipment Scope against organisational objectives.

• Managing the coordination of activities between the internal Equipment Technical, Procurement and Installation/Commissioning teams.
• Developing Equipment Team programs of works to meet ANI objectives
• Liaising with external stakeholders, Equipment Team members and the corporate team on relevant tasks.
• Developing tracking tools and systems to assist in efficient and up-to-date status reporting across the Equipment Team.
• Providing input, and where required, direction to a multidisciplinary team of direct and indirect reports to ensure project outcomes are achieved; ensuring standards are set and maintained across the group.
• Managing project delivery reviews for cost, schedule and risk, and provide regular and ad hoc reports against agreed and established baselines.
• Planning, designing and delivering assigned Specialised Equipment integration projects, ensuring the deliverable objectives and constraints of safety, time, cost and quality are achieved; reporting on and escalating issues to ensure timelines are met.
• Documenting the project requirements inclusive of stakeholders and manage delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

You will have extensive experience in the integration of complex scopes into large scale programs, with the ability to adequately manage and track progress against organisational objectives.

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in the integration of complex scopes into large scale programs.
• Experience with the program integration of complex equipment scopes is highly desirable.
• High level professional knowledge with significant practical experience in design management, construction and maintenance techniques and practices.
• Strong Project Management knowledge and significant experience in Contract Administration, Contractor Management, development and interpretation of design and construction tender documentation and procurement processes.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in presentations, contractual correspondence, briefings and authority submissions including the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and critical issues with simplicity.
• Experience in contract and stakeholder negotiations, influencing, and dispute resolution and relationship management.
