Graduate Engineer

About the Role:

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer, operator and facilities manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyard, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan.  ANI is responsible for planning, designing, constructing and managing all shipyard infrastructure.

ANI is seeking talented, ambitious, graduates to join our dynamic team where you will play an important role in supporting our projects within the existing Osborne facilities.  You will be responsible to support the delivery of Shipyard infrastructure programs and projects.  Over time you will get exposure across the whole project lifecycle enabling you to develop your expertise and to grow your career. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development of programs to meet ANI objectives as required.
  • Collaborating with the ANI projects team and contributing to the verification of shipbuilding requirements in planning, design and delivery.
  • Contributing to procurement activities gaining required internal approvals and compiling tender invitations.
  • Supporting the team in managing and reporting achievement of objectives in the context of key deliverables safety, time, cost and quality.
  • Managing all project phases including investigation, development, procurement, design and delivery of construction projects.
  • Researching project requirements, investigating operational and construction challenges and defining applicable solutions.

About You:

Ideally you will have a sound, recently completed academic grounding in construction an appreciation of project sequencing/ programming, cost control and health and safety management.  You are an enthusiastic graduate with ambitions to develop your skills in ‘end to end’ project delivery.

You have strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently work with competing demands and deadlines. You will be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities.

This position a key ANI initiative to develop organisational capability, strong work ethic, initiative and critical thinking are key traits of yours.

Construction related work experience at any level would be highly valued.

You will also have:

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with a range of software products such as Office 365, MS Project

Eligibility:
